What is a Disco?
An electricity distribution company (Disco) is a company licensed to distribute electricity to the homes and businesses of its customers.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Enter your meter, the amount and your phone number, confirm the code we text you, and pay by bank transfer. An account adds your saved meters, token history and the eFactory Wallet.
I can’t load my token.
Check there is power supply in your area and on your phase, switch off generators and inverters, then key in the token and press Enter. If your keypad shows a link error, replace its batteries, plug it into a wall socket near the meter and key in 5258 followed by your meter number without its first four and last digits (01011607946 becomes 5258160794), press Send, then load the token again. Why did my meter reject the token?
The purchase may have been for a different meter number, the meter may not be activated yet (your Disco issues an activation code), or your tariff index may have changed. Our support team can check it with you on +234 807 277 0999 or [email protected].
Can I load my token on another prepaid meter?
No. Each token is generated and encrypted for one meter’s unique ID, so it only works on the meter it was bought for.
